How to solve high pitched noise in Pioneer DDJ RB controller while using rekordbox

We are already using Pioneer equipments in our studio,

But recently some of our students were getting high pitched noise from new pioneer DDJ RB controller (even we have heard this random noise from our controller too). After talking to pioneer support we found that it’s a known issue and it can be easily solved by following steps below :

• You should try to diagnose by using other speakers, cables, location & laptop (with & without charging) before going for below steps

Steps to update firmware on the DDJ RB controller :

1. Set laptop on charging mode to avoid a sudden shutdown
2. Disconnect all the external hard disk & devices from laptop / computer
3. Download latest firmware from pioneer website
4. Install & follow setup
5. Connect your USB cable only (do not connect the controller on the other side)
6. Press the shift & cue button simultaneously
7. Connect USB cable (do not remove your hands from shift & cue button)
8. Click update on software, you can see lights on the meter if your controller is on update mode

Almost all of our controller are working perfectly without any noise after updating latest firmware

Update : There is another issue with high pitched noise due to rekordbox version, it’s already coming in the next version. You can email to pioneer for beta version of rekordbox to get early access
